DL Lap Steel guitars was born out of a need for a small steel guitar for backpacking. around a campfire in the back country of Yosemite one night i realized i wanted more then 2 sticks (see  photo). That moment DL Lap Steel was born.

They have since been played on every corner of the globe, by some of the finest steel players alive. Every one is hand made in California using the best tone woods the world has to offer. Sitka Spruce from Canada, Mahogany from Africa, Rosewood from India. Each one is built to order which is why they take 2 weeks to ship. They may not be big but the sound that they produce is huge.
